Case Study:

Graeme Quar acted for a medical partnership that wished to establish two pharmacies in Mid Hampshire. This involved setting up a new limited company, including advising on shareholder agreements with investors, and obtaining development funding to extend the surgery premises. We also had to deal with a whole set of complex regulations from the General Pharmaceutical Council.

"This case went beyond the normal business law parameters into working with regulations from a national professional body," says Graeme, who negotiated the deal. "We're starting to do a lot of work in this field, which we believe is a real growth area. A case like this is fascinating, as it draws on so many of our areas of expertise, from company formation and shareholder agreements to pharmacy regulations."
